Amongst the various Avatharams, Krishna avatharam is an amazing one, full of surprises. Avatharams themselves are surprises and amongst all of them, Krishna avatharam is filled with a lot of surprises. There are different types of incidents in this Krishna avatharam. There had been leelas(sport) right from the beginning. The time and situation of his birth itself is a leela. A magnificent avatharam.
If you take Ramayanam, then ravanan, rakshasas, like that we can relate to ten incidents namely Karadhooshanas, Tadakai, Ahalya kshaapa vimochanam etc. Then if we consider blessings or Anugrahams, Ahalya Kshaapa vimochanam, Sharabanga Moksham, Sage Agasthya and Sudheekshana coming to Sharabangar Ashramam to have darshan of Sharabangar, Sage Sharabangar waiting to see them, Indra coming and meeting Sharbangar but did not meet Rama who was waiting outside and left as if he did not notice Rama there, Rama noticing all of them etc. Such incidents, including the Sabari episode, are there in Ramayanam.
But in Krishna Avatharam, there are more things to enjoy, navarasas, we say. Such varieties of incidents like trouble within the relatives, situations related to whom Krishna should support. This did not happen to Rama, things were pretty straight for him. This Krishna avatharam comprised a lot of Coalition, Confusions and unexpected events. He comes as an embodiment of Jnana, a warrior, a “viveki”(विवेकि), a messenger to Pandavas. The same Krishnar takes many forms. He also mingles with sages or rishis, so it is difficult to understand him. One can understand Krishna only by understanding his opinions, not through his avatharam. That is very difficult to comprehend. One can understand Krishna through his Upadeshams (directions).
In Ramayana, we can understand Rama through his avatharam. This Krishna avatharam is unique. Especially in Bhagavatam, it is said, “pibata bhāgavataṃ rasamālayaṃ” (पिबत भागवतं रसमालयं), especially Dasama Skandam carries vedanta saaram and language is also traditional. Whatever has been told in Brahma Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads, it has been told in an interesting way in a beautiful language in Bhagavatam. Advaita Philosophy has been told in it. Bhagawatham is the story of Krishna.
Bhagavad Gita is one where God talks with common people. It establishes the direct relation between God and common people. Bhagawan clarifies doubts of people directly. In this, Arjuna is asking doubts. In puranas, Shiva-Parvathy conversations are there in plenty. For example, Parvathy Devi gets recommendations for people who are not able to read Vishnu Sahasranamam,
पार्वत्युवाच

When we consider the role played by women, ”strī”(स्त्री), the role played by Parvathi Devi stands first. Ambal has favoured people by asking many questions on their behalf. Upadesham, the world obtained, through Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita,Similarly Uma Maheswara Samvadham is there in many places in the Puranas. Devi has asked Parameswaran many questions and got the tattva upadesham. Here Arjuna asked questions extensively like how we stir the buttermilk to get butter.
सर्वोपनिषदो गाव: दोग्धा गोपालनन्दनः
पार्थो वत्सः सुधीर्भोक्ता दुग्धं गीतामृतं महत्
sarvopaniṣado gāva: dogdhā gopālanandanaḥ
pārtho vatsaḥ sudhīrbhoktā dugdhaṃ gītāmṛtaṃ mahat
This Bhagavad Gita is the essence of all Upanishads. It shows the vagaries of the human mind. Bhagavad Gita plays an important role in keeping our mind balanced and not getting distracted and retrogressed. In this, the conversation or the “praśna prativacanam” (प्रश्न प्रतिवचनम्) is an important aspect, “vihāram” (विहारम्).
People now say that what is being taught is easy. In Tamilnadu, they say “kattralalil inimai”. This means what is being learnt should be learnt easily. If you look at it from the same angle, Bhagawan has explained beautifully the tattva upadesham and advaitam in it. Beginning from food, Bhagawan talks about various things, Raajasam, thamasam, Saativkam and “does not do niraagaranam of anyone” (does not discount anyone). Bhagawan does not discriminate by saying there is only first class, there is no third class or unreserved. Instead Bhagawan gives everyone pravesham and fixes grades. Bhagawan tells people to move from one step to another step. There is both “yaadartham”(Vaastava Stiti or ground reality) and “paramaartham”(reality) in Bhagavad Gita. Bhagawan has given both ground reality and reality together. There can be no natural upadesham than this. Like we say, “Bhadrakali namostute” there is nothing there to fear in Gita. Bhagawan talks with “priyam” (affection) to people. Bhagawan discusses if karmas should be done and openly tells, “I know all and you do not know that ''. Bhagawan is talking to humans in gita,
तान्यहं वेद सर्वाणि न त्वं वेत्थ परन्तप || 5||
tānyahaṁ veda sarvāṇi na tvaṁ vettha parantapa
Bhagawan’s Gaambhiryam is not reduced but his presentation of Gita is in the form of a conversation. The conversation is the most interesting fact (Svaarasyam) of Gita. Conversation in Gita is considered superior.
This morning, we are camping in Perur. It is a very big agrahaaram where there are more than 200 homes. We have asked for videos to be taken and we will share it across. We have mentioned that Perur should be preserved as a heritage village.People living in Perur belong to the place of valangaiman. Perur has beautiful temples. There is shivalayam. Today is ekadesi, Saturday as well. Today we came back after having Narashima Swami’s darshan. Tomorrow also there is Narashima Swami’s darshan on the banks of Godhavari. There is a kshetram called Antharvedhi where Godhavari meets Ocean(Samudra sangamam). It is Narashima Swami’s kshetram. Tomorrow they have arranged for darshan at Narashima swami’s kshetram. We should finish Pooja early tomorrow and have swami darshan. That is the plan. So on ekadesi, Saturday, gita jayanthi day, see how gita jayanthi happened on this special day. Today, they did paraayanam here, all the 18th chapters of Gita. Already in Mukhamalaa they did and you must have heard of this news. In Mukkamala the second brahma sathram happened. As part of that brahma sapthaaham/brahma sathram, Gita Parayanam was performed. Today also, here in the camp, vidwaans did the paraayanam of all the 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita.They also did upanyaasam. So these activities are happening well.
Today we all need culture education and it has become a necessity too. We all want to move at a fast pace at heart and we are going backward in culture at the same time. So cultural education has become a necessity for all. The cultural structure has changed. If you walk in this agrahaaram for 5 minutes, you will get some shanthi or peace. If you look at the architecture of the homes in this agrahaaram, the Pooja grahaas here, “Prakruthi sanivesham”(nature) here and you will get peace. Houses are built as per the upadeshas that is what is called a agrahaaram. We should revise or renovate these agrahaarams. Under my instruction, one of them is renovating the structure of the home in agrahaaram, another is wanting to know things that happened in the agrahaaram. They promote education. In early days, when brahmachaaris came to the agrahaaram to learn vedas, shaastraas , they were served food in one home every day in a week. That is called Vaaram. Example on Monday, food will be served at one person’s home and on Sunday it will be at another person’s home and similarly on Tuesday food will be served in one more person’s home and so on. One Pandit in Mukhaamalaa said that he stayed in this village for 12 years. People arranged food for him as per the Vaaram (food served in a house on a specific day of week). Pandit said there is heritage, hospitality, helping tendency in the vaaram concept and there was no hesitation, anytime. There were healthy practices in the village. People used to get up early which was conducive for health, adheeram, aachaaram and athma gunam. So we focus on adapting this infrastructure wherever we can. So as part of this we are telling them to build homes for NRI Parents.
Sri Muthuswami dikshithar mentioned Kanchi sadhanam in one of his kritis about Kanchi Ekambareshwarar thus-
चिन्तय माकन्दमूलकन्दं चेत: श्री सोमास्कन्दम् ।----

In places like Chennai, in most of the families, old people are living in flats and their daughter, son , son-in-law are all living in foreign countries. So, a thought came ‘why not develop a Township in Kanchipuram?’. It is said that Kanchipuram is going to get a new Airport and so, if the parents of the NRIs, about a 100 or 200 families are there in the Township they can have a darshan of Goddess Kamakshi Ambal and Adhishtanam in Mutt. They can do parayanams. There are about 100-200 temples of Lord Shiva, Lord Perumal and they can have darshan. There are schools, colleges and Universities in Mutt. If anyone wants to teach, he/she can teach there. There is also a library. Whoever wishes to read palm script (olai chuvadi), Dharma shastram, Vedantam or Brahma Vidya can use the Library. Thus making Kanchipuram an Educational, Cultural city. Infrastructure is there viz. Kailasanathar koil, Vaikunta Perumal koil etc. When Periyava was there in Kumbakonam, there were about 5000 to 10,000 families living around the villages of Kumbakonam. When Periyava said something, they could afford time to execute. There were lawyers, doctors, professors, musicians and landlords.
In the same way if a group of devotees (samuugam-Society) is there around Kanchipuram, it will be of mutual help. They can study, do service, do parayana in Adhishtanam. Doing parayanam in Adhishtanam gives more punyam.
“nadītīre śata guṇam samudra tīre koṭisyāt siddhisthāneṣu anantam syāt.”
(नदीतीरे शत गुणम् समुद्र तीरे कोटिस्यात् सिद्धिस्थानेषु अनन्तम् स्यात्.)
They can do parayanam in Adhishtana mantapam which gives a lot of punyam. So,we are thinking of building a ‘Kanchi Sadanam’. At the back side of Kanchi Mutt there is a Krishna temple called ‘Pandava dUtar kovil’. It is a big temple. ‘Pudu periyava’ (the Previous Kanchi Matathipati) gave donation to this temple during his 50th Jayanti (Pon vizha thittam) and repaired the Gopuram.
Morning we told about Kurukshetram wherein there is a place called Jyoti Sarovar . There, a mantapam, Bhagavat Gita Rasam, and Shankara Bhagavadpada’s temple have been built by Bharat Motor Ramachandra Iyer, as per Maha Periyava’s advice. When one batch gets completed you go to Kurukshetram and come to Kanchipuram and do Gita parayanam. “yajñānāṃ japa yajño’smi”( यज्ञानां जप यज्ञोऽस्मि)- Bhagavadgītā yajnam is very essential nowadays. The need of Bhagavadgītā is more in these days when compared to olden days.
Once a king named “ṛtuparṇan”(ऋतुपर्णन्) was travelling in the chariot which was driven by Nala Maharaja who became chariot driver due to some reason. The “angavastram” (अंगवस्त्रम) of the King ṛtuparṇan, fell down and the king asked Nala Maharaja(at that time the king didn’t know that it is Nalan) to stop the chariot so that he can collect his angavastram. Nalan said that they couldn’t do it, because they have come a long way. Similarly, we have come a little away from our culture. So, to become close, we need a continuous effort and a very strong effort. We have to do both and for that we require a Satsang like this (Brahmavidya Sathsangh).
“Oṃ namo brahmādibhyo brahmavidyāsaṃpradāyakartṛbhyo vaṃśṛṣibhyo mahadbhyonamo gurubhya:”
(ओं नमो ब्रह्मादिभ्यो ब्रह्मविद्यासंप्रदायकर्तृभ्यो वंशऋषिभ्यो महद्भ्योनमो गुरुभ्य: )
Brahmavidyāsaṃpradāyakarta- in Vyasa puja, we do a lot of poojas for Naradar, Pillayar, Sanakar, Sanantar, Sanat kumarar , Sanatanar, Pailar, Sumantu, Jaimini and for many other Rishis. Even those doing Sama Veda UpA karma, specially do a lot of Rishi poojas. We do poojas for Rishis and Rishis are our “ādarśam” (आदर्शम्). Today seeing ‘ādarśam’ has become ‘ādarśam’.
“ādarśabimbe stimitāyatākṣī”(आदर्शबिम्बे स्तिमितायताक्षी) - Sanskrit quote nr. 4645 (Maha-subhashita-samgraha)
“khaḍge niṣaktapratimaṃ dadarśa”( खड्गे निषक्तप्रतिमं ददर्श). - kumārasambhavam (nirṇayasāgarasaṃskaraṇam-1955, saptamaḥ sargaḥ(umāpariṇayaḥ)
The term Ādarsha is nowadays used in the context of ādarsham (mirror), which has become the biggest focus instead of the real ādarsham (the right way of life). So, we need to move from seeing the ādarsham to living a life of ādarsham
It is said that Samsara sAgaram is a desert. That means it is of nothing interesting. But people understand it in a different way.
Pratibimbálañkrutikuùalo bimbálañkrutimátanute
Cetobhruñga bhramasi vruthá bhavamarubhümau virasáyám
Bhaja bhaja lakshminarasimhá-naghapadasarsijamskarandam
Samsara sagara is referred to as a desert here. The message that is being conveyed here is that samsara is without any essence (svarasyam). But some have misunderstood this and in olden days have thought that Tibet is referred to as desert where even a blade of grass will not grow. But that is a different topic about countries.
In this context, if we need to live without suffering in this desert (bhavamarubhümau, Paalaivanam in Tamil), we need both milk (paal) and forests (vanam). This only comes by following dharma. Therefore, Acharyal tells us - “तव हितमेकं वचनं वक्ष्ये”, (tava hitamekaṃ vacanaṃ vakṣye). I shall tell you about a vakya that is beneficial for you. Just like Bhagavan Krishna, acharyal is also guiding us kindly. Acharyal then says “शृणु “ Shrunu – Listen! “sukhakāma:” (सुखकाम:) – if you desire soukyam, sukham, happiness, then listen to this. “satataṃ“ (सततं) can be understood here in two ways – “satataṃ śṛṇu or satataṃ sukhakāmo” (सततं शृणु or सततं सुखकामो). It can be understood either as – “Listen to this if you desire eternal happiness”. Or as in “Listen to this continuously”. Don’t listen one day and leave it the next day. Keep listening to Bhagavad Gita continuously. “abhyāsāt ramate cittam”(अभ्यासात् रमते चित्तम्). As we listen and practise more and more, we will be able to grasp the essence better and better. We gain an understanding of that which we did not understand before. As we listen more and more, we will get newer perspectives to what we understood previously and gain deeper understanding.
Hence both Anubhuti (experience) and Aavritti (repetition) are very much needed.
“āvṛtti āsakṛtu upadeśat” (आवृत्ति आसक़ृतु उपदेशात्) Brahmsutra 4.1.1 . Continuous practice in this way will lead to:
“anāvṛtti śabdāt anāvṛtti śabdāt”(अनावृत्ति शब्दात्, अनावृत्ति शब्दात्) Brahmsutra 4.4.22.
The book written by Sri Subbarayar Shastriji, Guruji of Sri Karthikeyan, a great Anushtathaa, is very good, with an upadesha for every day.
So, to get to“anāvṛtti”(अनावृत्ति) with respect to samsara chakram, one has to do “āvṛtti” (आवृत्ति) (of shāstrās).. this is important.
"punarapi jananaṃ punarapi maraṇaṃ,punarapi jananī jaṭhare śayanam” (पुनरपि जननं पुनरपि मरणं,पुनरपि जननी जठरे शयनम्।), if we do not want to get into this situation of repeated births, we should do “āvṛtti” (आवृत्ति)(repetition) of Bhagavad Gita.
Whichever “vṛtti” (वृत्ति, profession) we are in, we should do “āvṛtti” (आवृत्ति, continuous repetitive study) of The Bhagavad Gita.
There is no need to think that I am not a Carnatic musician, vedic pandit or scholar.
It does not matter whether we are an Engineer, doctor or auditor, Bhagavad Gita is for all.
To get “sat pravṛtti” (सत् प्रवृत्ति), people of all vrittis need to learn Bhagavad Gita.
Only if we get “sat pravṛtti” (सत् प्रवृत्ति) we can move towards the ”nivṛtti” (निवृत्ति) marga.
So, to get “sat pravṛtti” (सत् प्रवृत्ति), Bhagavad Gita (प्रवृत्ति) is a must.
Bhagavad Gita is filled with swarasyam and madhuryam, with tatva, stories, experiences, questions, and answers and much more. In just 700 slokas, there are all pramanas like pratyaksham, anumanam, upamanam, shabdam. It is a complete shastra saaram and such a shastra saaram.
Bhagavad Gita is being celebrated by all of you on this day. By doing this, all of you are beginning, gaining entrance into shastras.
When you climb Tirupati hill, there is a big Thorana Vaayil (decorated entrance) at the entrance. In the 100th year, Pudhu Periyava arranged for a Thorana Vaayil to be built in Kanchipuram. It was built with Government permission and the thoranam had Shankaracharya, Kamakshi Amman in the middle and Periya Periyava on the other side. Similarly, for all of you to gain entrance into the Shastras, Bhagavad Gita will be the guiding light. In the Ramayana, there is a story called “Swayam Prabha”. All of you can enter the Guha (cave) and gain “Swayam Prakasha” for which Gita will serve to be the guiding light. All of you should study the Gita well and do the parayana of the Gita. When you continuously do the parayana of the Gita keeping the vyakhyana in mind, “sat pravṛtti” (सत् प्रवृत्ति) will increase.
Pudhu Periyava used to repeatedly mention Gita in his discourses – “geyaṃ gītā nāma sahasraṃ”(गेयं गीता नाम सहस्रं). In the 1980s, in Gujarat, Pudhu Periyava used to speak a lot about Gita in his upanyasam which was relished by people who visited from North India. As per our instructions, from 1994, Gita parayanam has been happening for 25 years during Krishna Paksha Dwadashi. This is being done in Shankara mutt, Matunga in Mumbai by Sri Eshwar from Chinmaya mission. This Krishna Paksha Aradhana happens in Kanchipuram also. In addition, it is going to happen outside of Kanchipuram for the first time, in the camp, in Kovvur on the banks of the Godavari.
On that day, there is also going to be a program called “Vyasa Bharatham'' for school children. What is the future vision for this country “Bharatham''? Few people have a vision for Digital India, Modern India, and so on. Some people don’t talk about it but have their own ideas and thoughts. But our vision, expectation and our actions should be towards building “Vyaasa Bharatham ''. In this Bharatha desh, there must be Bhakti, Aachaaram, Dhaana and Dharma. The families must be traditional (shastriya kudumbam). To create traditional societies, we need to understand samaja shastram.
We should know Samaaja Sastram in order to create a Shastriya Samaajam.
If we want to produce great scholars, scientists, Tapasvis and social workers in the future we should have many satsangs and lay a strong foundation.
We should read social science and learn
-
How to protect dharma in today’s world in today’s situation;
-
How to conduct Panchayatana Puja in today’s world,
-
How to follow anushtaanams and Samskarams without fail
-
How to give Scholarship for someone who wants to study (Worship,Scholarship & Membership)
We can work in Shifts but should not shift from these.
We should protect dharmas which is a shared responsibility of all (Men, Women, kids, elders and all). South India Tradition needs to be taught to kids and we should have pride in our great culture. Only if we have pride will we have interest, curiosity and good opinions.
Like the Bhagavata Mahatmyam we should say Gita Mahatmyam, Gita Vivaranam & Gita Samarpanam should happen.
Gita Mahatmyam is done and Gita Vivaranam is in progress and Brahmavidya Sathsangh should do Gita Samarpanam in Kanchipuram and Kurukshetra.
BrahmaVidya Satsanghs are happening very nicely . As mentioned in Bhagavad Gita “adhyātmavidyā vidyānāṃ”(अध्यात्मविद्या विद्यानां), we should learn this Adhyathma Vidya and experience and enjoy and get peace of mind.
सर्गाणामादिरन्तश्च मध्यं चैवाहमर्जुन ।
अध्यात्मविद्या विद्यानां वाद: प्रवदतामहम् ॥ १0-३२ ॥
sargāṇāmādirantaśca madhyaṃ caivāhamarjuna |
adhyātmavidyā vidyānāṃ vāda: pravadatāmaham || 10-32||
By doing this we should get “sādhana catuṣṭaya saṃpatti” (साधन चतुष्टय संपत्ति) which is mentioned by Adi Shankarayacharyaal in Viveka Chudamani
आदौ नित्यानित्यवस्तुविवेकः परिगम्यते ।

ādau nityānityavastuvivekaḥ parigamyate |
ihāmutraphalabhogavirāgastadanantaram
śamādiṣaṭkasampattirmumukṣutvamiti sphuṭam || 19 ||
We should grow this Brahmavidya Sathsang and we have the blessings of Guru and Ishwara Anugraham . We should get “īśvarānugrahādeva puṁsāmadvaitavāsanā”
ईश्वरानुग्रहादेव पुंसामद्वैतवासना ।
महद्भयपरित्राणाद्विप्राणामुपजायते ।।१।।
īśvarānugrahādeva puṁsāmadvaitavāsanā
mahadbhayaparitrāṇādviprāṇāmupajāyate //1// (Avadhuta Gita )
We should get Vasanākshayam from the world for which we need to develop Vasanas for sathsangs like this, which will stay(for long).
Videsha Srihi, Swadesha Nivaasam . Brahmavidya satsang should grow like Vasudaiva Kutumbakam.
माता च पार्वती देवी पिता देवो महेश्वरः ।
बान्धवाः शिवभक्ताश्च स्वदेशो भुवनत्रयम् ॥ १२॥
mātā cha pārvatīdēvī pitādēvō mahēśvaraḥ ।
bāndhavā: śivabhaktāścha svadēśō bhuvanatrayam ॥ 12 ॥
(Sri AnnaPurna Stotram)
The Anugraha Bhaashanam has been arranged in the evening so everyone from outside of India could also attend . We should support each other and adjust and accommodate like this so we can be inclusive of everyone.
Happy to see the growth of BrahmaVidya Sathsangh. Our prayers for continued Anugraham from Periyava and Ambaal who Herself is Brahmavidya Swarupini and Gnana Prasunamba.
Speech in Telugu - Translation
Today (Dec 3rd2022), Bhagavad Gita parayanam took place in Peruru (a village near Godavari zilla in Andhra Pradesh). HH went on to introduce two pundits, one of them being Vishwanatha GopalaKrishna Sastry ji , a great pundit, mahopadhyaya very much known by Sri Chandrasekhara Swamiji. He is the disciple of Goda Subrahmanya Sastry ji. He studied under him and is also very dear to him. Kanchi
trust bought land from Goda Subrahmanya Sastryji ‘s place of residence in Sulaneni Agraharam (village) to establish a school for learning shastras for which the bhoomi pooja will be taking place tomorrow (Dec 4th 2022).
Gopala Sastryji is well versed in Shastram like tarkam, vyakaranam, mimamsa etc. He has contacts with all generations and age groups of people in the community. He works towards the benefit of the community and has supervised and managed today’s Gita parayana that took place in Peruru.
There is a need for this kind of non-political leadership. In order to establish our samskriti(culture) and peace in our community and country we have to promote the Vedanta tatvam although only a few can experience Vedantam.
(ऋषिर्वामदेवः प्रतिपेदे) अहम् मनुरभवं सूर्यश्च || Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.4.10||
(Rishi Vāmadevā says) I was Manu & The Sun
गर्भ एवैतच्छयानो वामदेव एवमुवाच ॥ Aitareya Upanishad 2.1.5||
Vāmadevā said this while still lying in his mother's womb
Meaning one can be a Gnāni in the womb itself.
We are also planning a project for Sath Santhānam (good offspring) named “Prahlada”. People do Kalpavasam in the banks of river Ganga for 45 days. In Kasi people do garbhavasam, by residing there for 9 months. Similarly, they are planning for people to reside in a punya kshetram for the purpose of having a good offspring (“chinne mule shakhaya”).
There is a need for children with Balam – strength, Pushti – well nourished, Tushti – always content, Matihi - having good intellect, Dhrtihi – courage, and Shantihi – peaceful (panca sheelam). The children should themselves be peaceful and spread peace and happiness around in the community.
“Ahlada Janani” is one of Ambal’s names.
Bhagavad Gita needs to be known by one and all.
It should not be limited to only Indians.
Foreigners should also work towards knowing the significance of Bhagavad Gita.
Chidambaresh Iyer, who is 95 years old now, currently living in Chennai, being a staunch devotee of Kanchi Swami Sri Sri Chandrashekara Saraswati Maha Swamigal till date, has requested many VIPs to print Bhagavad Gita books to be distributed to promote the importance of Bhagavad Gita.
Fifty years back HH Sri Sri Chandrashekar Saraswati Swamiji gave his blessings, instructed and encouraged him to promote the significance of Bhagavad Gita. To this effort, since the 1960's, pocket size books of Bhagavad Gita have been printed and distributed in many countries other than India by him. Such great swamijis also encouraged in spreading Bhagavadgita. This is the main aim of this bhaashanam. They have built a Jyoti Sarovaram in Kurukshetra
Brahmavidya Sathsangh can do Bhagavad Gita Samarpanam at Kurukshetra. Will let Karthikeyan also know about it.
Gita Parayanam is very important. During last year, even in Tirupati Devasthanam, Bhagavadgita was read for 400 days by Tuppa Vishwanatha Shastry ji. It included Pada-artha or word-to-word meaning.
In Telugu we have books like ‘Amarakosham’, ‘Raghuvamsam’ where we can have in-depth explanation like pada-cheddam/ splitting a compound word, aakanksha/aspiration, anvayam/application, Pada-artha or word-to-word meaning, samaasalu, alankaras.
Similarly, Bhagavadgita is also well summarized.
संवत्सर एतत् व्रतंचरेत, द्वौ वा मासौ
saṃvatsara etat vrataṃcareta, do vā māso
Bhagavadgita summary is also channelized well through Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti Channel. Through Gita, the needed bhavana/feeling/emotion to serve comprehensive Dharma is obtained. There is also a song named ‘Bhaavamu lona’. Such bhaavana should be attained.
This (Brahmavidya Sathsangh) is a sacred gathering, so please follow it well. Realise the meaning with whole heart and practise it. Bhagavan himself was happy (while saying Bhagavad Gita), wishing you all the same happiness. Here we have Ramlal Sharma ji, professor from Tirupati. Despite their profession, Sharma ji and his son are also into Vedanta study. Their family is an epitome of Culture and Tradition. His father Yogi ji is a great devotee to our Swamiji. He is the Secretary of this brahma-satram in Mukkamala. He is a good associate of society, coordinating well with members and the other poerson here is a great scholar.
BrahmaVidya Sathsangh discourse should stretch its scope of teaching along with Bhagavadgita. There are many aspects to be known like Suta-Samhita, Gitas like Udhava-Gita, Ribhu-Gita.
Please practise these Gitas and be part of Sanatana Dharma Restoration, Reconstruction, Redevelopment and Expansion.
Praying for all of you, to be part of Lord Krishna’s, Kanchi Kaamakshi’s and our Guruji's blessings.
Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara
